Shure Endorses West end Superstar Alfie Boe
Many associate Alfie with Les Miserables, especially after his 2010 success where he took the lead role of Jean Valjean in the sold-out 25th anniversary performances of the show at London’s 02 Arena.
Alfie had such an amazing response he was hand-picked by Sir Cameron Mackintosh to reprise this role in the West End, for a five month run, beginning this June 23rd.
Alfie Boe is already a household name, but his recent headlining performance at the Classic BRIT Awards confirmed it! With all these high profile events, Alfie is no doubt pleased that he’s just upped the stakes when it comes to reliability and sound quality by switching to Shure’s renowned KSM9 – a premium vocal condenser mic that captures vocal subtlety with extraordinary detail.
“As a singer, I needed a microphone that is true to my voice and I am delighted to have found the Shure KSM9,” reveals Alfie. “It sounds glorious”
To ensure perfect delivery of his unmistakeable vocals, Alfie will be relying on Shure’s peerless UHFR Wireless technology. “With a singer who possesses the most incredible voice that Alfie Boe does, we had to find a microphone with good top-end clarity, a microphone that truly captures and reproduces his wonderful vocal,” said Neil Ferris, Alfie’s manager. “And with the Shure KSM9 we have absolutely found the right microphone”.
